"Beware the limousine that moves silently through the streets of Los Angeles, for the driver brings death. "

When a young woman jumps to her death from the infamous Hollywood sign, veteran Detective Charles Updike is called upon to investigate. Initially appearing to be a suicide, Updike quickly gathers clues that reveal a murder that could be serial in nature.

Nearing retirement and low on patience, he is appalled when young and inexperienced Thomas Ingram is assigned as his new partner. Updike quickly realizes that his countdown to retirement could be the most stressful period in his career.

An autopsy of the victim discloses what Updike suspects  -she was murdered by a killer with medical skill who surgically removed parts of her body.

When the body of a second victim with missing body parts is found, Updike realizes that a serial killer has surfaced in Los Angeles. Can the detectives stop the flow of body parts, or will the serial killer slip away from their grasp?

Can Updike overcome his nervousness and solve the case before the city forces him into retirement?  Will Ingram find the ability to overcome the vastly superior hypnotic grip of the killer?  A powerful psychological suspense thriller is “Moon Light Drive - Fade2Black”.
